ch-ch-ch- changes...

Comanche

Comanche Peak Blue Faced Leicester Top

So... a big announcement and a few changes.

Madelinetosh will now be retailing dyed and un-dyed spinning fibers, spinning wheels and accessories.

I am very excited about being able to share more of my love for spinning with everyone and hope to post a few tutorials on what I have learned by using hand carders, combs and the ungainly niddy noddy soon.

Well, just as soon as I receive this.

As for fiber, these have popped out of the dyepot here recently:

And a few batts have been blended in the drum carder:

So, maybe I will find more of an opportunity now to use these lonely little friends more often:

Carders

And a big thanks to everyone who came out to visit at the Jenning Street Yarns Trunk Show. It was great to sit, chat and knit with old and new faces alike. I think I see a Fort Worth spinning group in the works soon!

Trunk Show @ Jenning Street Yarns

Img_0890

Trunk Show!

What: Madtosh Trunk Show

When: Saturday, November 10th, 2007 from 10am to 12pm or later

Where: Jenning Street Yarns in Fort Worth, Texas (in a fabulous historic building no less)

Why: because yarn is a necessary and positive addiction? no?

We will be bringing boo-koos of yarn along with the Candy Cane Knee Sock kits and the Chrismukkuh knee socks that I just cannot seem to make fast enough!

Plus, a few of the new colorways for the Winter line will make their debut as well.

Can you say Pop-Rocks, Citrus and Tomato three times in a row really fast?

Spring_newbies

You can't! Well, neither can I.

By the way!!!!!!!!

Question for each and everyone!

What COLOR would you like to see added to the Winter line?

And has everyone already seen this sock pattern because it is new news to me? But then again I am always so far behind the curve I am usually no where near it, something akin to being at the end of the line where the curve begins.

I am smitten with MimKnits, Eleanora Socks pattern, the historical aspect of the pattern, is very intriguing. The interesting part is I actually purchased a post card of this portrait of Eleanora at the Uffizi in Florence because I was so intrigued by her fingers and the way she carried herself in the portrait. Funny what a small/big world this is.

Count me in on this pattern.

a sock pattern? yes, please!

A_wee_meathead

First up.

Yarn: debbie bliss pure cotton, white, two stands held together

Needles: US size 10 addis, magic loop

Pattern: meathead hat by larissa of stitch marker

A fun, crazy-quick knit. Leaves seemed to be proper for this wee hat so I cut out some elongated ones from wool felt samples that I had.

Next, new sock patterns...

copies will be available in store and on the madtosh site by the beginning of next week!!
