Gorgeous, I'm working on finishing up a tomten too! It's such a great pattern isn't it?

Gorgeous! And yours was the inspiration for mine, which I just finished up and posted about. We're twins of a sort! I see you opted not to do the incorporation of the underarm stitches into the arm as you knit. Any reason? I did it and it worked out pretty well for me.

madelinetosh

thanks all.

hi julie. i did not incorporate the underarm stitches because i am a wee bit lazy i guess. i can easily see myself knitting another one of these for my niece and when i do, i will do the collar the way you mentioned on smaller needles and incorporate the underarm stitches as well. this knit was one of the funnest i have completed.

Beautiful! I have made several sweaters with the EPS system and they always turn out fantastic. You will have no problem with it at all!

Lovely! Yours is one of the nicest Tomtens I've seen. I love the colors and I also love the little collar in place of the hood. It's perfect!

Great colors! It's really lovely!

Your sweater is beautiful. I've made only a few sweaters in my life, and never such a casually-written-out pattern as this one. (Though I have knit hats and socks with modular, oh-you-can-change-this-and-you-can-change-that patterns.) Will I be able to do it? What does "eps" mean? Did you knit the collar on smaller needles? What does that mean about incorporation or non-incorporation of underarm stitches?
