This is the sock progress this morning. The wee strip of white on the bottom right is the waste yarn, holding the live stitches for the afterthought heel. A great tutorial on afterthough heels can be found here. This simple sock is basically a knitted tube until you get to a 1/2 inch or inch before the toe and begin your decreases.
I am still unsure if I will go for it and actually close the toe with the kitchener stitch or another grafting method. Any advice one way or the other would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!
The cup of tea is twinings with my honey and milk and the fabric is a fabulous little gem I picked up at Hancock's store closing sale with a dainty cherry blossom print. So precious. It has become a tablecloth for the time being.
OK, off to knit a toe!
